Mother’s Resource Center

There are a lot of things to consider when you’re pregnant or a new mom. Danville Regional’s Mother’s Resource Center provides new and expectant mothers the assurance of a convenient resource offering affordable and quality products.

Mother’s Resource Center offers a full range of quality products and services to assist you in providing the best care for you and your baby. In stock items include: Medela Electric & mannal breast pumps; Personal Fit Breast Shields; cleaning products for pumps & pump parts; nipple shields; breast milk collection & storage bags; disposable & cotton bra pads; Purlan Lanolin Cream; sore nipple shells; inverted nipple shells; nursing stools; maternity & postpartum supports; Comfort Nursing & Sleep Bras; Adiri Breastfeeding Bottle Nursers; swaddling blankets; boppy pillows; baby loungers; pregnancy wedges.

Mother’s Resource Center is located on the first floor of the hospital just beyond the outpatient pharmacy area. Hours of operation are Monday thru Friday, 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Expectant Mother's Classes

We also provide the following:

 Childbirth Education

Classes are held on the first and second Saturday of each month and are taught by a certified professional childbirth educator.  Attend one all day class from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Learn about the anatomy of pregnancy, stages of labor, breathing techniques for each stage of labor, epidural anesthesia, and basic infant care.

Lactation Class

Classes are held on the fourth Thursday of each month from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. and are taught by a board certified lactation consultant. Learn about the benefits of breastfeeding, positions for breastfeeding, and proper latch on. This class is for expectant moms and dads!

Infant Safety and CPR

Feel confident in being able to handle an emergency and prevent accidents and injuries to your infant and child by learning safety measures and the basics of infant and child CPR. Classes are held on the first Wednesday of each month from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Classes are free but you do need to register. Childbirth Classes are limited to 6 couples so call early to reserve your place in the class.  All classes are held in the 4A classroom.
