2016 DRMC Radiologic Technology Program Graduation

The Danville Regional Medical Center Radiologic Technology Program recently held its 2016 Graduation and Pinning Ceremony on Friday, August 12th at the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research in Danville, Virginia. This is the program’s 13th graduation ceremony.
Nine students received an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Radiologic Technology. Seven of the nine students graduated with honors. To graduate from DRMC's program, each student must maintain a minimum of a 3.4 grade point average (GPA).
Three awards were given at this year's graduation, one for Academic Excellence (highest overall GPA) which was received by Stephanie Ashley who graduated with a 4.0 GPA. The second award was given for Clinical Excellence which is voted on by the staff technologists from each of the program's clinical sites. The 2016 Clinical Excellence Award was also given to Stephanie Ashley. The third and final award is The Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Certificate of Excellence Award. This award is provided by the program's accrediting agency and is awarded for the "Best All Around" student. This award is voted for by the program's faculty. The 2016 recipient of the JRCERT Certificate of Excellence was Carla Soyars.
